James Helton

James E. “Jolly” Helton, 62, of Port Huron, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 3, 2021.

He was born October 30, 1958 in Port Huron to Beverly and the late Bobby Jo Helton. He married Kelli Kay Burns on May 5, 1978.

Jolly was employed in the construction industry for many years. He was an avid camper and hunter and loved to ride motorcycles. His passion in life was his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kelli; two children, Jeffery James (Jami) Helton and Chantel Zita Helton; five grandchildren, Andrew James (Haley) Helton, Jared Francis Helton, Brock Eugene Helton, Airabella Adele Helton and Kallie Kay Helton; mother, Beverly Ann Helton; sister-in-law, Lisa Burns; daughter-in-law Jessica Marie Helton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chris and Patrick Helton; and brother-in-law, Mark Burns.

Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Following Jolly’s wishes, cremation will occur.
