Joyce L. Relken, born July 22, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, died Sunday November 27, 2011 in Port Huron Hospital unexpectedly after a 4 year battle with cancer.
She graduated from Cass Tech High School, Detroit, Michigan.
Joyce married Richard C. Relken, M.D. on January 12, 1991.
She is survived by her husband Richard C. Relken, M.D.; daughter, Danielle (Daryl) Miller of Mt. Clemens; daughter, Pamela (Michael) Deising of Marysville; daughter, Jennifer (Ronald) Miller of St. Clair; son, Douglas Parsons of Holiday, Florida; sister, Barbara (Jack) Harding of Waterford; three grandchildren, Alex, Emily and Graham.
Joyce was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was an avid golfer and a member of Port Huron Golf Club where she was the first female to serve on the Board of Directors. She loved playing mahjong with her many friends at Port Huron Golf Club.
Services will be held at Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 26640 Greenfield Rd, Oak Park, MI 48237 at 11am on Tuesday, November 29, 2011.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
