Gerald F Peters

Gerald F. Peters, 91, of Clyde Township, died Friday, July 23, 2021.

He was born July 11, 1930 in Ubly to the late Adolph and Marcella Peters. He married Alice Hooper on July 10, 1954 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Port Huron.

Jerry served in the United States Army, was a founding member of St. Mary Catholic Church, built many houses and liked to do projects in his shop.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Pamela Peters (fiancé Darryl Pinnix); son, Joe Peters; grandson, Anthony (Lindsay) Ayers; two great grandchildren, Aaron and Audelia Ayers; brother, Gene (Helen) Peters; brother-in-law, Gordon Hayes; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Hayes; and his brother Frank (Nancy) Peters.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Huron with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
