Eleanor Grant

Eleanor J. “Jo” Grant, 87, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, August 7, 2021.

She was born June 12, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Burling H. and Eleanor C. Clyne. She married Jerry H. Grant on December 27, 1952 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2018 after 65 years of marriage.

Jo was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was very devoted to her family.

She is survived by five children, Dan (Patti) Grant, Karen (Tom) Gaffney, Tom (Judi) Grant, Robert (Lorie) Grant and Ronald (Patti) Grant; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special sister-in-law, Peggy Stockwell; and special friends, Bernard and Dorothy Lemanski. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn A. Patrick-Grant; sisters, Bernadine McFarlane and Rose Hanel; and brother, Donald Clyne.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
