Julie D Carey

Julie Dunn Carey, 75, of Port Huron died Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

She was born December 4, 1945 in Port Huron to the late William and Leona Anderson. She married James A. Carey on April 30, 1966 in St. Mary Catholic Church.

Julie was a 1964 graduate of St. Stephen High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was employed as an outreach worker for the Port Huron Area School District for 25 years. She served on the Marydale Assisted Living Center board for many years. She was a very special person who dedicated her life to helping others. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim; son, Jim (Joni) Carey Jr., daughter, Maureen Carey; brother, John (Sandy) Anderson; niece, Jenilee Vincent; and nephews, Bryan and Kyle Anderson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nan Anderson.

A private Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
