Richard E "Super Rick" Olvera

Richard E. “Super Rick” Olvera, 71, of Port Huron Township, died Friday, October 22, 2021.

He was born October 24, 1949 in Port Huron to the late Gabriel and Betty Olvera.

Richard enjoyed hanging out and helping customers at the By-Lo gas station and Tom & Jerry’s Party Store on Water Street. He loved watching movies and working on puzzles.

He is survived by his siblings, Marie Hernandez, Constance MacDonald, Dino Olvera, Sandra Olvera, Donna Olvera, Laura Jimenez, Antonio (Alison) Olvera, Ben Olvera, Joseph Olvera and Michael Olvera; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gabriel Olvera Jr., Victor Olvera and William Olvera.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Lakeside Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life with be held at a later date.
