Betty Deaner

Betty Lou Deaner, 79, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

She was born January 7, 1942 in Port Huron to the late William and Ida Fye. She married James T. Deaner on June 27, 1964 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1988.

Betty was a graduate of Port Huron High School. She was employed as a secretary for the Port Huron Fire Department for many years. She loved shopping, family parties and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Ross) Sladowski; son, Nicholas (Leigh Anne) Deaner; grandchildren, Morgan (Wesley) Myers and Maison Deaner; six great grandchildren, Audrie, Penelope, Jackson, James, C.J. and Christian; and siblings, Beverly Breiger, Richard (Kay) Fye, Barbara Bowns, Tim (Vicki) Fye, Linda Zimmer, Alaine (Jeff) White and Robert (Jennifer) Fye. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Fye.

Private family services have been held.
