Phyllis Dodea
Phyllis M. Dodea, 94, of Memphis, TN, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was born August 17th, 1927 in Marysville, MI to the late Mary and William Gardocki. She married George R. Dodea on September 10th, 1950 in Marysville.
Phyllis was a 1946 graduate of Saint Joseph’s Academy in Adrian, MI. After graduation, she worked as a secretary for an architectural firm until she met her husband of 53 years with whom they raised seven children together.
Her family and friends are the benefactors of her life-long joy, compassion and empathy. Phyllis was an avid reader, who was educated to understand Latin. She was a former president of the Port Huron Cotillion Dance Club, bridge-club member and beauty queen.
Phyllis is survived by sons and daughters; Jeffery Dodea, Joann Dodea, Julie Davidson, Nicholas Dodea, Mary Dodea and Renee Dodea; grandchildren, Desiree Pimentel, Christie Davidson, Jenna Davidson, Lindsay Cronkite, Austin Cronkite; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Thomas Dodea and granddaughter Ashley Pynnonen.
Private ceremonies honoring Phyllis’ memory will be held in Port Huron, MI.
