Ruth E. "Ruthie" Fredendall

March 13th, 1962 to April 7th, 2022

Ruth Euphrasia Fredendall, age 60, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 7, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Ruthie was born on March 13, 1962 to the late George B. and Doris Hyde. She grew up on a dairy farm in Emmett, MI in a large, loving family. She married the love of her life, Donald, on July 30, 1983. They started their family in Houston, Texas and moved back to Michigan in 1986, where they started Michigan Industrial Controls. Ruthie loved being a mom to Corey, Cassie, Chrissy and DJ and when the kids were grown she went back to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She truly enjoyed connecting with and helping her patients. Ruthie was adored by all of her grandchildren and she looked forward to spending time with them and watching them do what they loved - she was their biggest fan.

Ruthie will be remembered as a sister, friend, mother and wife who took seriously the command to love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself. She welcomed everyone into the family and made them feel wanted, included and loved. Her kindness touched many, and even in her final days she radiated grace and peace.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Fredendall; her children, Corey (Jeremy) Bricker, Cassie (Tom) Kelly, Chrissy (Matthew) Gordon and DJ (Kathleen) Fredendall; grandchildren, Aedan, Riley, Patrick, Samuel, Clare, Nora, Rosy and AJ (Anthony John); her siblings, Tom (Laurie) Anger, Sandy Koch, George Hyde, Patti Lindgren, Marie Hyde, Barb Lipson, Bill (Karen) Hyde, Mary (Jerry) Ferrato and Theresa (Mike) Marsh; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Anger; her dad, George B. Hyde; her mom, Doris Hyde; her brother-in-law, Henry Koch; and her sister-in-law, MaryAnn Hyde.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.
