Marjorie Ainsworth
Marjorie A. Ainsworth, 83, of Port Huron, died Friday, April 15, 2022.
She was born May 11, 1938 in Upland, CA to the late Wilbur and Lillian Salisbury. She moved to Oklahoma at the age of 6 with her family. She lived there until 1962 when she married Neil W. Ainsworth. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1989.
Marjorie was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She worked at Sperry’s and sold Home Interiors and real estate. She enjoyed crafts, shopping, traveling and was a fantastic cook. She was admired for her strong sense of family and her love of life.
She is survived by four children, Sheila (James) Corp, Kevin Ainsworth (Lori Susan Lenart), Celine (Thomas) Groff and Sean (Miwa) Ainsworth; ten grandchildren, Benjamin (Sabrina) Vanderende, Cheri (John) Proctor, Jamie Corp, Peter, Martha and Clara Ainsworth, Garrett and Haley Groff and Audrey and Amelia Ainsworth, six great grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaden Proctor and Charlie, Austin, Cody and Autumn Michling; two sisters, Twyla (late Harold) Kennedy and Carol (late Hap) Nelson; sister-in-law, Vickie Salisbury; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darci Lee Ainsworth; twin sister, Martha Hoover; and brother, Duane Salisbury.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
