Margaret J Holmes

Margaret Jesse Holmes, 84, of Clyde Township, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

She was born June 5, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Leonard and Barbara LaMotte. She married Walter G. Holmes on December 18, 1977 in Douglas, Wyoming. He died November 6, 2010.

Margaret graduated from Port Huron High School. She was employed with Good Year Tire Company for many years prior to her retirement. She was “Miss Port Huron” and also modeled for Winkleman’s. Margaret enjoyed playing euchre, softball and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Dick (Kim) Marsack; grandchildren, Jessica (Patrick) O’Brien and Zachary Marsack; great grandchildren, Annalyse Ichenberg, Blaine O’Brien and Ethan O’Brien; sisters, Cheryl Wahl, Lora Howe, Irene (Mike) Grosser and Cathy (Bill) Mumford; and sister-in-law, Loreen Howe. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Charles (Joey) Marsack, daughter, Margolynn Marsack, and siblings, Nancy Warshefski, Lynda Johnson, James Howe, Lawrence “J.R.” Howe and Bill Howe.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Private family inurnment will be on Monday, in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
