Martha J Bennett

Martha Jane Bennett, 79 of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, July 1, 2022.

She was born October 27, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Edward J. and Dorothy J. Bennett.

Martha was a 1960 graduate of St. Stephen High School. She was employed at Mercy Hospital for 30+ years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church. Martha loved to entertain and spend time with her children, grandchildren and family. She also loved to travel, especially to Mexico, California and Washington D.C.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Bennett, Amy (David) Horr and John Bennett; grandchildren, Valerie, Natalie, Stephen, Nicolas (Sara), Adam (Rachel) Joey, Kayla and Andrew; great grandchildren, Rosie and Garrett; siblings, Jim (Joyce) Bennett II, Maggie Bennett and Patrick (Nancy) Bennett; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Joan Bowling and Mary Kay Beebe.

A gathering to celebrate Martha’s life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 3050 Woodland Dr., Port Huron in the Forest Subdivision.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
