Joan P Crimmins

Joan Patricia Crimmins, 86, of Port Huron, died Thursday, September 8, 2022.

She was born October 27, 1935 in Detroit to the late Angus and Theresa McCaskill. She married Thomas M. Crimmins on November 30, 1957 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died April 1, 2018.

Joan was a 1953 graduate of St. Stephen High School. She worked at Faulkner’s Hallmark store downtown for many years. Joan was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, loved to garden and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson. She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Thomas) Gleason, Colleen Crimmins, Cathy (Dennis) Reed, Daniel Crimmins and Trish (Hunter) Dancey; grandchildren, Laura Gleason, Matthew Gleason, Michael (Racheal) Reed, Nicholas Reed, Danielle Crimmins, Haley (Sam) Schmitz, Megan Cravens and Erin Cravens; very special great grandson, Benjamin Thomas Reed; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Rita Gierman.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
