Roger A Ingles

April 9th, 1952 to October 22nd, 2022

Roger Allen Ingles, 70, of Lakeport, died after a short battle with cancer on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born April 9, 1952 in Port Huron to the late David and Loretta Ingles. He married Christina M. Loane on April 20, 1974 at St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.

Roger was a member of the Port Huron High School class of 1971. Throughout his working career, was employed with Prestolite, Ferguson Steel, Dunn Paper and Marysville Farms. He was an active member of St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Immaculata Council 8274 (Third Degree). Roger had a love for dogs, cats, his chickens and bird watching. He enjoyed traveling, and was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed watching football and the Detroit Red Wings. He loved his family and would drop everything to help them any time of the day or night.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Tina; daughters, Lisa (Kim II) Matthews, Kim (Andrew) Frye and Cindy Ingles; son, Bryan Ingles; grandchildren, Elizabeth Matthews, Taylor Matthews, Angelina Hill and Kim Matthews III; very special sister-in-law, Mary Lynne (Gary) Fletcher; brothers, Mike (Sue) Ingles and Bill (Judy) Ingles; sister, Doris Ingles; sisters-in-law, Terri Doan, and Lori (Jay) Przytakoski; brothers-in-law, Billy (Donna) Loane and Larry (Lori) Loane; and a large extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Ingles; sister, Helen Kelly; step-father, Jim Lewthaite; mother-in-law, Betty Loane; father-in-law, James Loane; brothers-in-law, Bobby Loane and Charles Doan; and niece, Amy Fletcher.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 6pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation from 10 a.m. until the service time. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be his sons-in-law, Kim Matthews II and Andrew Frye, and grandchildren, Elizabeth Matthews, Taylor Matthews, Angelina Hill and Kim Matthews III.
