David P. Bonin, 59, of Port Huron died January 20, 2012 unexpectedly.
He was born July 21, 1952 in Port Huron and was a life long area resident.
David loved playing poker, shooting pool and spending time with his family and granddaughter.
He is survived by his son, David L. (Kari) Bonin of Port Huron; granddaughter, Olivia M. Bonin; mother, Teresa A. Bennett of Port Huron; sister, Patricia L. (John) Forbes of Ft. Gratiot; brother, Richard J. (Brenda) Bonin of Plano, TX; brother, Gary E. (Tonya) Bonin of Austell, GA; sister, Susan M. Gilbert of Marysville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his father, John F. Bonin who died on January 20, 1980.
Mass of Resurrection will be 10am Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate. Visiting hours are 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9am Tuesday at church.
A rosary will be recited at 6 pm Monday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Gilbert, William Gilbert, Nick Bonin, Robert Hallay, Chad Weiss, Brandon Maes and Nicholas Maes.
Memorials in memory of David may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
