Ellen L Petho
Ellen Louise Working Petho was born November 3, 1940 in Ann Arbor. She returned to the loving arms of God on January 2, 2023.
Ellen married the love of her life, Louis Petho on September 8, 1962, and they just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary surrounded by family.
She received her degree in Advertising and Design in 1988 and for ten years ran a successful design business. In 1997, Ellen attended an auction at Christie’s in New York and purchased five lady Diana dresses. For the next ten years, she traveled throughout the United States putting on exhibits to raise money for children with special needs. She raised over a million dollars for these charities.
Anyone who knew Ellen would not be the least bit surprised to hear of her tireless efforts in service to others. She was and is the most loving, kind, generous and compassionate wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend that anyone could be blessed with. Her family was the light of her life and she always made sure they knew and made them feel special. The world is forever changed because of her life. She will be cherished and missed dearly and always. We know God will hold her forever in the palm of His hand.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; three daughters, Karrie Petho, Christine (Thomas) Moore and Katherine (Rob) Patterson; and her cherished seven treasures, Haley Seim, Zach Seim, Carson Moore, Rachel Patterson, Sophia Moore, Marley Patterson and Nolan Moore. She dearly loved her sisters, Marilyn Clyne and Betty (Jack) Rowley; brother, Carly (Terry) Working; and many nieces and nephews.
At Ellen’s request, private services will be held.
Entombment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Seven Treasures.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-City Nutrition.
