Kim Cope

Kim L. Marks Cope, 64, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, January 27, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

She was born June 17, 1958 in Port Huron and was a lifelong area resident.

Kim graduated from Port Huron Northern in 1976. She worked at the Krystal Bar, Barss AFC Home and retired from AT&T. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and near the water, cooking, traveling, vacationing, antiquing and spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Jessica (Dan Jr.) Hawley, Bobbi Jo Grant (Jody) and Lindsey (Steve) McKinstry; mother and father, Kitty and Frank Kovach; grandchildren, Daniel, Wesley, Sidney, Cameron, Alexis, Hannah, Colton, and Ava; sisters, Linda (Leon) Armstrong, Joanie Wille and Mary Little; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Zgieb; and brother, Scott Marks.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home followed by a procession to Mt. Hope Cemetery for a graveside service at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
