Theresa Nicholson

Theresa Mary Nicholson, 92, of Port Huron, died Friday, February 10, 2023.

She was born October 20, 1930 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late William and Caroline Ivory. She married the love of her life, Charles B. Nicholson on January 20, 1951 in Sidney, Ohio. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1999.

Theresa retired in 1999 after 32 years as a cook for Marydale Center for the Aged.

She is survived by five children, Mary Ann Nicholson, Barbara (Cliff) VanOverbeke, Susan (Edward) Repp, Robert W. Nicholson, and Catherine (Paul) McDonald; daughter-in-law, Martha Jones; nine grandchildren, Amy Nicholson, Jessica Nicholson, Melissa Nicholson, Chad (Alison) VanOverbeke, Beth (Michael) Nestorovski, Sean (Marti) VanOverbeke, Robert Nicholson, Jennifer (Andrew) Wright and Sara (Seth) Taylor; along with 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles B.; her loving son, Charles A.; as well as her parents, 11 brothers and sisters and their spouses.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Huron, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron
