Lois J Patterson

Lois Jean Patterson, 86, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, February 16, 2023 with her family by her side.

She was born November 12, 1936 in Detroit to the late Kurt and Lillian Koch. She married Robert L. Patterson on June 14, 1958 in St. Clair Shores.

Lois was employed prior to her marriage with United Airlines and volunteered for over 20 years at the American Red Cross. She enjoyed the art of Tai Chi, playing Mahjong and traveling, especially in northern Michigan. She loved her sons very much. Lois was a wife, mother and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her best friend and husband of over 64 years, Bob; five sons, Mark, Mike, Tom (Anne), David and Rob (Kathy) Patterson; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Trey, Nicole, Chloe, David, Rachel and Marley; three great grandchildren, Hayden, Sydney and Remi; two sisters, Trudy Garnier and Dana McGuire; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held.

Lois’ family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Blue Water Humane Society, Mid City Nutrition or the St. Clair County Council on Aging.
