Lois E Dionne

Lois Elaine Dionne, 94, of Port Huron Township, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

She was born January 21, 1929 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Luva Boshaw. She married Leo V. Dionne on June 22, 1948 in St. Stephen Catholic Church. He died February 21, 1999.

Lois was a 1946 graduate of St. Stephen High School. Lois and Leo owned and operated Dionne Accounting Service for many years. Lois was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and past president of the Vivians. She bowled for years, enjoyed cooking and baking and was the best pie maker in the world. She was quick with a story and a joke.

She is survived by her children, Dan (Beth) Dionne, Rick (Vicki) Dionne, Janine Dionne-Sargent, Jeff (Kathi) Dionne, Anita (Jody) Weitzel, Michelle (Randy) Shepley and Shon (Alma) Dionne; 14 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kyran Holliday; son-in-law, Gary Sargent; daughter-in-law, Nada Dionne; brother, Cecil Boshaw; and sisters, Rosalla Bennett and Marguerite Boshaw.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 in St. Mary Catholic Church with visiting beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
