Lilly L Platzer

Lilly Lou Platzer, 85, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

She was born March 14, 1938 in Austin Township, Michigan to the late Arthur Gilbert and Berdie MacNeil. She married John Charles Platzer on October 30, 1979 in Port Huron.

Lilly was employed as a housekeeper with Mercy Hospital for several years. She enjoyed watching movies, going for drives, bowling, collecting koala bears and spending time outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved very much.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John; daughter, Kathleen Turner; three grandsons, Kyle Turner, Jason and Michael Maciejewski; sister-in-law, Shirley Platzer; niece and nephews, Beth (Steve) Markle, David (Carrie) Platzer and Joseph (Nanette) Platzer; great nieces, Natasha White and Alexandra Platzer; great nephews, Jacob Platzer and Nicholas Platzer; and good neighbors, Mike and Jan Cowley. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jerry Turner; sister, Jenny Welch; brother, Calvin MacNeil; brother-in-law, Joseph W. Platzer; and niece, Cheryl Madej.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
