Theresa Ann Brouckaert

Theresa Ann Brouckaert, 94, of Fort Gratiot, died Monday, May 22, 2023.

She was born April 8, 1929 in Marine City to the late Alvin and Mary Kreusel.

Theresa received her Master’s Degree at Mount St. Joseph College in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over her 42-year career, she was a teacher for the Archdiocese of Detroit in the Catholic School System and also Lakeshore Public Schools in Macomb County. She was an original resident of the Sanctuary at Mercy Village in Fort Gratiot and a prayer warrior, praying the Rosary daily.

She is survived by four children; Kathryn A. Andros, Karen L. Niver M.D., Richard L. (Mary) Brouckaert and Brian A. (Tamela) Brouckaert; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Delores Huber and Mary Margaret Sehl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Brouckaert.

Visitation will be from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in St. Mary Catholic Church Port Huron with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.
