Deborah A Plaut

Deborah Ann Plaut, 65, of Clyde Township, died Monday, June 5, 2023.

She was born August 12, 1957 in Port Huron to the late Edmund and Phyllis Cichoracki. She married Donald Plaut on October 17, 1992 in Port Huron.

Deborah was a 1975 graduate from Port Huron Northern High School. She was employed by various insurance companies in the area, and was a member of various societies in the insurance industry. Deborah was very active, loved her sports cars, loved animals and was a kind soul to anyone in times of need. Deborah was a drummer in many different bands throughout the years.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Madison Plaut; brother, Glenn (Leslie) Cichoracki; sister, Maggie (Philip) Dehring; several close nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her niece, April Cichoracki.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 in St. Mary Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend James Commyn will officiate. Private family burial will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Area Humane Society, McLaren Hospice or Karmanos Cancer Institute.
