Jody Weitzel

Jody Weitzel, 63, of North Street, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

He was born May 6, 1960 to the late Mary and Milton Weitzel and married his childhood friend, Anita Dionne in 1983.

Jody worked at Mueller Impacts for 38 years. He retired in May 2022 to spend time camping and traveling with his family, building and helping friends and family with projects, volunteering with the St. Mary Knights of Columbus and sitting on his porch with his beloved wife, kids, granddaughter, dog and grand-dogs after Sunday dinners. Jody’s last week was spent in hospice surrounded by a never-ending stream of family, friends and co-workers. He and his family are forever grateful for everyone who shared in those moments.

Jody was a wonderful Dad to Lyndy (Eric) VanEenoo and Melissa (Shawn) Taylor and the world’s best Pa to his granddaughter, Olivia VanEenoo. He is also survived by his brothers, Greg (Linda), Rod (Denise) and Randy; aunt and uncle, Kay and Lynn Burleigh; several nieces and nephews; and his in-laws, the Dionne Family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jeff.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in St. Mary Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.
