Donald Eugene Kenny, 75, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
He was born August 19, 1947 in Port Huron to the late Albert W. and Elizabeth M. Kenny.
Don worked for Dunn Paper for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He loved fishing, bowling, golfing, and spending time near the Blue Water Bridge watching the freighters. Don was a lifelong jokester and prankster. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly (Daniel) Steinbach and Jennifer Kenny; four grandchildren, Alex, Timothy (Emma), Allison, and Carly; his former wife, Kathaleen Carpenter; countless wonderful co-workers and friends; and many extended family members in Sandusky and Port Huron. He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Kenny.
Memorial visitation will be from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. Monday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Joseph Baunoch will officiate. A procession to Lakeside Cemetery will follow.
Memorials may be made to Golf Country for the Blue Water Junior Golf Program, which encourages youth to learn golf.
