Craig A Solliday

Craig Allan Solliday, 89, of Kimball Township, died Monday, July 17, 2023.

He was born September 10, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Monroe and Marie Solliday. He married Joan M. Recor on October 18, 1952 in Port Huron. She died September 17, 2012.

Mr. Solliday was employed with the Port Huron Fire Department for 33 years, retiring in 1988 as Assistant Fire Chief. He also owned and operated Craig Fence Company. He was a member of Ross Bible Church since 1935. Craig collected and worked on antique cars, and enjoyed RV camping.

He is survived by his four children, Catherine (John) Harrington, Ann (Gerald) Moeller, Debra (George) Emerson and Paul (Brenda) Solliday; eight grandchildren; Steven (Michelle) Harrington, Craig (Tammy) Moeller, Michael (Jade) Moeller, Laura King (Adam DeRiso), Sandra King, George Emerson, Jeffrey Solliday, and Elizabeth (Dr. Adam) Armbruster; seventeen great grandchildren, and special friend, Patricia Falk.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in Ross Bible Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Steve Scott will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Harrington, Craig and Michael Moeller, George Emerson, Jeffrey Solliday and Dr. Adam Armbruster. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ryan Brisson, Roger Allen, Tom Smith, Joe Linert, Ed Peterson, Ron Moeller and Joe Biga.
