Richard Breuier

Richard Chester Breuier, age 67, of Port Huron, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

The son of Walter Breuier (Brzozowski) and Jessie Breuier (Malinowski), Rich was born February 18, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan.

Richard received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Michigan University in 1978. Following graduation, he worked for Manuel ‘Matty’ Moroun and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company as a Sales Agent. He finished his career working alongside his mother as the owners of multiple party stores in the Port Huron area.

On April 17, 2004, in Henderson/Las Vegas, Nevada, he married the love of his life, Laurie Kay Leone after they had dated for a decade.

Richard retired in 2005 and was able to enjoy many years golfing, driving his 1977 “Orange” T-Top Corvette, listening to Rock and Roll and traveling, with many trips to Las Vegas. Richard enjoyed talking with people and sharing his life experiences.

Richard is survived by his mother, Jessie; wife, Laurie; brother-in-law, T.J. Leone; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, 1720 Elk Street, Port Huron, MI 48060. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.

Richard will lie in state in from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.
