Edward Wayne “Mr. Ed” Klettner, 79, of Fort Gratiot, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

He was born May 4, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Louis and Mary Klettner. He married Sharon K. Kohl in April 1964 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on October 7, 1995 after 32 years of marriage.

“Mr. Ed” worked as a barber for over 50 years. He enjoyed dancing and tinkering with mechanical things. He was a very social person who loved people and was always smiling and laughing.

He is survived by his son, Tadd Wayne Klettner; two daughters, Tammy Kaye (Robert) Walker and Tanya Jo Robbins (Jason Collins); six grandchildren, Tiffani, Trent, Tyler, Devin, Kayla and Hunter; great granddaughter, Poppy; and two brothers, Harold Klettner and Charles (Patricia) Klettner. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Mary Klettner.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
