Sheila A Jobbitt

Sheila Ann Jobbitt, 78, of Lakeport, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, with her family by her side.

She was born February 6, 1945 in Port Huron to the late William and Beatrice Cowger. She married Thomas E. Jobbitt on February 8, 1964 in St. Christopher Catholic Church.

Sheila was a secretary with Port Huron Hospital for 16 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, was a master gardener and member of the Tapestry Garden Club. She was a longtime member of St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church. Sheila loved surrounding herself with family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sheila is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas E.Jobbitt; children, Thomas W. (Louann) Jobbitt, Kathleen L. Jobbitt-Clay (Ahmard Clay), James T. (Rebecca) Jobbitt and Todd M. (Sunny) Jobbitt; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Jobbitt; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and siblings, Sandra (David) Fennell, William (Mirta) Cowger, Robert Cowger and Jeanette (Tom) Miller. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Jobbitt; and great granddaughter, MacKenzie Cheney.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Riverlawn Columbarium at a later date.
