Charles F. Gray

July 26th, 1942 to December 18th, 2023

Charles F. Gray, 81, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 after a long illness.

He was born July 26, 1942 in Port Huron to the late John and Lida Gray. He married the love of his life, Suzanne Gardner on October 24, 1964 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2022 after 57 years of marriage.

Charles was a 1961 graduate of Marysville High School. He worked at Acheson Colloids, spending most of his years as Maintenance Supervisor and finishing his career as Production Manager. Charles retired after 34 years of employment at age 56, giving him and Suzy time to travel and enjoy retirement together. He enjoyed golfing with his wife and friends. He was a long-time member of the Port Huron Elks Club, where many friendships were bonded. We hope when you think of Chuck you will remember his smile, laugh and his willingness to help others. Speak his name and memories you have shared often. He will be missed but never forgotten and is now with his love, Suzy.

He is survived by two children, Scott (Katie) and Debbie Kimball; four grandchildren, Ryan (Caitlin) Gray, Alex (Jenni) Gray, Matthew Gray and Evan Kimball; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Burke; and brothers, Lester, Robert and Philip Gray.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12 noon. The Reverend Christian Jones will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Water Hospice Home. Arrangements are by Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. To send condolences visit karrersimpson.com
