Gerald F. Theisen

Gerald Frederick Theisen, 90, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, February 9, 2024.

He was born March 6, 1933 in Detroit to the late Frederick and Grace Theisen. He married Virginia Carroll on December 28, 1957 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.

Gerald was a member of St. Stephen High School class of 1951 and graduated from the University of Detroit with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1959. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney as a mechanical engineer in the development and support of military jet engines for many years before his retirement. He was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #343.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia; son, Daniel Theisen (Andrea Jackson); daughter, Anne (Skip Story) Theisen; granddaughter, Cherie (Jeremy) Rushton; four great grandchildren, Colbin, Hunter, Jersie and Sawyer; daughter-in-law, Michele Theisen; sister, Suzanne White; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; granddaughter, Elise Theisen; and sister, Beverly Taylor.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery, Port Huron.
