Beverly A O'Connor

March 19th, 1939 to March 1st, 2024

Beverly Ann O’Connor, 82, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, March 1, 2024.

She was born March 19, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Glenn and Anna Hawley. She married Edward J. O’Connor in November of 1957 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2024.

Beverly and Edward owned and operated OK & Sons Upholstery for 55 years. She was a 1956 graduate of Port Huron High School. She enjoyed playing BINGO, going up north, gardening and planting flowers and playing with her grandchildren. She also loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She attended St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and later became a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church with Pastor Don Doerzbacher. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, William O’Connor (William Rice), Edward J. “Joe” O’Connor Jr. and Anna Nuss; daughter-in-law, Linda Bolsby; grandchildren, Missy (Trent) Loudenback, Kayla (Patrick) Powers, Jodi (Donnie) Soucy, Tyler O’Connor, Patrick (Ashley) O’Connor, Jacklyn (Jacob) Wagner and Jeremy (Michelle) O’Connor; great grandchildren, Parker, Braden, Kameron, Kason, Karder, Connor, Liam, Caden, Sawyer, Aubrey, Madisyn, Lilah, Rylee, Alyssa and Phil’ip; sister, Jane (Gary) Roberts; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Dody, Clara (John) Will, Kay Solomon O’Connor, Rose Hawley; brothers-in-law, Gerald Hitcock and Jud Ireland and Wayne (Becky) O’Connor; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Leo O’Connor; daughter, Vicki Sue O’Connor; grandsons, Matthew O’Connor and David Kerr Jr.; brother, Bill Hawley; sisters-in-law, Marge (Jack) Looney, Beatrice (Bob) Norman, Marion Hitcock and Catherine Ireland; and brothers-in-law, William (Eleanor) O’Connor, George O’Connor and Bob O’Connor.

A memorial service for Beverly and Edward will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Don Doerzbacher will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A celebration of Beverly and Edward’s lives will be held later this summer.
