Virginia L (Nofs) Parker

Virginia L. (Nofs) Parker, 90, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 after a long and happy life. She will be greatly missed.

She was born December 2, 1933 in Port Huron, the daughter of the late Leo and Gladys Nofs. She married Elbridge Parker on December 22, 1966 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2005.

Ginny retired from SEMCO Energy Gas Company. She was a very talented seamstress, making many items for her family. Ginny also enjoyed walking at the Birchwood Mall, reading and solving puzzles.

She is survived by her sister, Angela McCullamore; daughter, Jennifer (Cliff) Harrington; son, Romney “Pete” Parker (Kim Paton); grandsons, Bill Harrington (Ronda White), Paul (Miranda) Harrington and Troy Parker; granddaughter, Amy (Sean) Bauer; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in St. Mary Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Gratiot Township.
