Deborah J Tanner

Deborah Jane Tanner, 72, of Fort Gratiot, formerly of Manistique, died Saturday, May 18, 2024.

She was born September 9, 1951 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to the late Harry and Agnes Smith. She married Fredrick W. Tanner on August 8, 1988 in Kenora, Ontario, Canada.

Deborah was a registered nurse, working in both nursing and retirement homes across Canada. She enjoyed knitting, broach watch making and crocheting. She also played the organ in churches in Canada and the U.S.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Fredrick; brothers, Mark (Barb) Smith and Craig Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
