Sharon T Heinz

March 17th, 1941 to May 24th, 2024

Sharon Therese Heinz, 83, of Kenockee Township, died Friday, May 24, 2024.

She was born March 17, 1941 in Detroit to the late Arthur and Berniece Geisler.

Sharon loved watching the Detroit Red Wings, having never missed a game. She also attended several games at Joe Louis Arena and went to Olympia Stadium many years ago where she watched Gordie Howe play with the Red Wings. She’s been a fan ever since.

Playing poker with her family and friends was her absolute favorite hobby. She never turned down a seat at the table when it came to cards. Sharon and her sisters never left home without their poker money. She was a huge fan of Willie Nelson, loved being outside in the sun, and enjoyed having bonfires. A good bonfire could keep her outside way past her bedtime. She was always there for her family and was loved by so many. Sharon, wife, mother, sister, G-ma, Gi-Gi, aunt and friend leaves a huge void in our lives and she will be missed dearly.

Sharon is survived by her son, Guy (Jerri) Heinz; daughter, Wendy (Don) DeMeulenaere; five step-children; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence; daughter, Kelly Jeanne Heinz; and infant son, Derek.
