Lee F Goodman
Lee F. Goodman, 87, of Port Huron, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024.
He was born March 3, 1937 in Port Huron to the late Rex and Elinore Goodman. He married Catherine (Kay) Guitar on June 20, 1970.
Lee graduated from Port Huron High School in 1955. He then served in the U.S. Navy until 1959. He was employed as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Port Huron for 35 years. During that time, he spent many years as a union steward.
He was a member of The Blue Water Sportsman’s Association. Lee enjoyed hunting, archery, walking, biking, reading and listening to Bluegrass music. When the Port Huron Times Herald had an Opinion Page, he submitted and had published many letters to the editor with his concerns, Lee really loved dogs and had many memorable hunting dogs throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay; children, Maria Goodman, Michelle (Jim) Gagne, Amy (Russ) McDaniel, and Andrew Goodman; two grandchildren, Nolan and Lauren Gagne; and one sister, Carole (Richard) Partlo; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
