Kimberly Sue Powers, 68, of Port Huron, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
She was born at Bremerton Naval Hospital in Washington on May 16, 1956 before moving to Michigan. She married the love of her life, Edward “Eddie” Powers on May 20, 1990. Together they were the proud owners of Casey's Pub for over almost 30 years.
Her greatest joys in life were her love of music, dance, crossword puzzles and her love for her grandchildren and family.
Kimberly is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Shaun Carl) Huizar; grandchildren, Hannah, Brooklynn, Jaxon and Jaxson; stepchildren, James (Julie) Powers, Heather (Daniel) Sauter and their children, Marissa, Jack, Aiden, Sam, Lee and Graham; her siblings, Betty Pappert, Luann (Paul) Beeson, Tammy (Gary) Burton, Jaime (Jeanne) Loehnis, Kris (Darren) Gebhardt and Patti (Jason) Claes; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Powers; father and stepmother, Wes and Reca Loehnis; mother, Shirley (Dick) Hayner; brother, Robert Sundberg; and her beloved dog, Mitzi.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m.
