Kathleen L "Kathy" Marlatt

Kathleen Louise “Kathy” Marlatt, 73, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday July 6, 2024.

She was born October 24, 1950 in Port Huron to the late Leonard and Shirley Deaner. She married Miles M. Marlatt Jr. on February 3, 1973 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2021 after 48 years of marriage.

Kathy was an avid sports fan. Known as “Dead End Deaner,” she loved to play softball, volleyball and football, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Lynn Marlatt, Cody (Amy) Marlatt and Cory (Tabatha) Marlatt; five grandchildren, Kassie (Brandon) Smith, Alisha Harding (Alex), Alana Marlatt, Chý Marlatt and Gemma Marlatt; sister, Diane Phillips; and three brothers, Richard (Kathy) Deaner, Robert Deaner and Tom (Debbie) Deaner. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Harding; brother, Jim Deaner; mother-in-law, Kathryn Mayer; two sisters-in-law, Judy and Betty Deaner; niece, Becky Cudlip; and nephew, Scott Foglesong.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Deacon Richard Kliemann will officiate.
