Richard L "Dick" Hanton

Richard Lee “Dick” Hanton, 83, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

He was born March 14, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Herbert and Elizabeth Hanton.

Richard will be remembered for his impeccable taste, generous nature, wry sense of humor and sharp mind. He enjoyed playing cards, was an exceptional golfer and an avid sports fan. Dick loved working out at the YMCA, watching the ships pass from his front porch and feeding treats to the neighborhood dogs. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends, but they remain grateful that he lived such a rich and productive life.

He is survived by two loving sons, Kevin and Mike Hanton; granddaughter, Azalea; and his daughter-in-law, Andrea. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Hanton.

Cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled.
