Patricia A Roberts

June 24th, 1941 to September 5th, 2024

Patricia Ann Roberts, 83, of Port Huron, died Thursday, September 5, 2024.

She was born June 24, 1941 in Farmington to the late John and Josephine Herbert. She married Ralph R. Roberts on October 3, 1964 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clair.

Pat was a wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend of many talents and filled with love. She had a gentle, but fierce spirit whether she was bargain shopping, working for the PH&D Railroad or Mrs. Duffy-Houghton, selling real estate, sewing intricate items or designing home improvements. She especially enjoyed caring for her children, their spouses and grandchildren.

You didn’t have to know her long to know you wanted her as a friend. Ever the optimist and the best baker around, she knew how to get a good deal and there was never a problem she couldn’t solve. Some of her favorite things were playing a good game with friends, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling.

For her, three things remain: Faith, Hope and Love, and the greatest of these were her love of God, family, friends and country. She shared her love in abundance and reserved for us her blessings. She spoke the unvarnished truth whether we wanted to hear it or not. Despite suffering years of constant pain, she most often worked through it and is greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Ralph; son, Mark (Courtney) Roberts; daughter, Heather (Dann) Hayes; grandchildren, Evan Hayes, Marissa Hayes, Owen Roberts and Reagan Roberts; and siblings, Marvin (Carol) Herbert, Donna (Carl) Nabinger, Mary Herbert, Cathy Kilbourn and Barb Westrick. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenny, Jerry, Jeannie and Johnny.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron.

Pat’s family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse Museum, Visiting Nurses Association, Blue Water Hospice Home or for masses in her memory.
