Judith A. "Judy" Boyd

Judith Ann Boyd, 86, of Yale, died Saturday, November 30, 2024.

She was born July 8, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Frank and Elizabeth Chudinski. She married Lorne F. Boyd in August of 1956 and they were married for 34 years before his passing in March of 1990.

Judy loved plants; flowers, with her favorites being daisies; and shopping. She was always ready for the day with her hair and make-up done whether she was leaving the house or not. She enjoyed her job as a greeter at Sam’s Club where she got to meet new people every day. Judy had a sassy and feisty spirit that brought those around her many laughs. Above all, she especially loved her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, Lori (Joseph) Lasher, Jodi (Charlie) Umile, Lynn (Duane) Northrop, Wendy (David “Dave”) Glenn, and Kelly (Matthew “Matt”) Northrop; grandchildren Brooke Nichole Lasher, Shannon (April) Northop, Nichole Northrop, Krystal (Justin) Hatch, Justin Glenn, Rebecca Glenn, Jeni Harvey, Sarah (Gabe) Raymo, and Leah Northrop; and 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Terry; grandchild, Ryan Joseph Lasher; and brother, Louis Masters.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Bernie Long will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
