Charles C. Cuthbertson, 83, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, January 30, 2025.

He was born June 13, 1941 in St. Clair to the late George and Mary Cuthbertson. He married Clara A. Rupp on June 29, 1963 in Harbor Beach.

Charles graduated from Algonac High School in 1959 and St. Clair County Community College in 1961. He then attended Port Huron Hospital School of Medical Technology in 1962. He was employed with Port Huron Hospital, James F. Gerrits M.D., the ARC of St. Clair County and The Shopper/Times Herald. He was a faithful servant of Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteered at Mid-City Nutrition.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Clara; children, John (Tamara) Cuthbertson, Catherine (Daniel) Nichol, David (Kristine) Cuthbertson and Mary Alice Hewelt; grandchildren, Christine (Guillermo) Barillas, Rachael (Jon) Blodgett, JR (Katie) Cuthbertson, Amy Nichol, Elizabeth Hewelt, Greyson Hewelt and Maya Cuthbertson; great-grandchildren, Grant Cuthbertson, Rosario Barillas and Samantha Blodgett; sister, Margaret (Richard) Kearns; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Hanneke and Jacquelyn Meldrum.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Mark Madson and Vicar John Pegg will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township.
