He was born September 24, 1942 in Port Huron. Paul married Sandra K. Mellick on January 6, 1973 in Port Huron.
Paul loved woodworking. He enjoyed making birdhouses and birdfeeders. He also liked collecting antique toy cars. Paul worked as a janitor at St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Huron.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Fleury of Fort Gratiot; his children, Penny (Mike) Courtis of Fort Gratiot, Paul (Sandra) Fleury Jr. of Port Huron, Mary (Victor) Lecluyse of Port Huron and Daniel (Alicia) Fleury of Stillwater, OK; 11 grandchildren; his siblings, Mary O’Donnell, Phyllis Fleury, W. Joseph Fleury, Yvonne Snowden, Dennis R. Fleury, Pauline M. Deering, Virginia Walker, Annette McAuley and James Fleury; many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his siblings, Vivian, Charles, Daniel, Suzanne and Lawrence.
A Mass of Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stephens Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the service time Monday at church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society or St. Stephens Church.
