Paul D Heeke
Paul David Heeke, 90, of Marysville, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
He was born December 9, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Norman and Gertrude Heeke. He married Gloria Marlatt on July 20, 1968 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. Paul was employed at Prestolite Wire for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and hunting for treasures at garage sales. He took great pride in riding his red Ultra Classic Harley and had a passion for antique cars. He and Gloria loved attending concerts in Marysville Park and St. Clair Palmer Park, especially when their favorite Elvis impersonator, Darrin Hagle, took the stage.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria; 19 nieces and nephews, Lisa Young (Carl Myers), Mary Paul Young, Karl Heeke, Jonathon (Denise) Heeke, Thomas (Josie) Heeke, Elizabeth (Cecile) Stanton, Donald (Laura) Heeke, Brian (Anita) Heeke, Carole (Michael) Coomer, Jennifer (Rob) Webb, Jane (Bruce) Smith, Cathy Howard, Helen Wright, James (Cyndie) Marlatt, Mary (Jerry) Helms, Andrew Marlatt, Patrick (Michel) Marlatt, Greg (Cathy) Arnett and Jeff Arnett (Ruth Ashford); special grand nieces and grand nephews; and sister-in-law, Ruth Arnett. He was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Young, two brothers, Norman (Phyllis) Heeke and Jerry Heeke; two nieces, Michelle Gates and LeAnn Stroman; three nephews, William Heeke, Matthew Marlatt and Mark Marlatt; two brothers-in-law, David Arnett and Raymond (Barbara) Marlatt; and sister-in-law, Marilynn (Tony) Howard.
A memorial visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home followed by a procession to Mt. Hope Cemetery for graveside services at 11:30 a.m.
