Vera K Roskey

Vera Kay Roskey, 70, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

She was born November 26, 1954 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Asa and Ethyl Pelton. She married Richard D. Roskey on August 28, 1982 in Port Huron.

Vera was a registered nurse and worked for Mt. Clemens General, Mercy Hospital, Port Huron Hospital, Lapeer County Health Department, Sacred Heart in Lapeer and finally Brighton Hospital. She enjoyed bowling, watching T.V. and movies, and spending time going out with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard; son, Christopher Roskey; daughter, Katrina (Christopher) Lawson; grandchildren, Alivia Roskey, Alicia Taylor, Savannah Roskey, Avery Roskey, Aiden Lawson and Dakota Lawson; siblings, Hank Pelton, Cindy Robinson and Keith Pelton; three nieces and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her son, David Roskey; and brothers, Gary Pelton and Brian Pelton.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 14, 2025 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
