Frank John Nunez, 87, of Port Huron, died Thursday, April 17, 2025.

He was born October 14, 1937 in Port Huron to the late Jose and Tomasa Nunez. He married Josephine M. Perez on April 23, 1966 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2023.

Frank was employed with Ogden-Moffet as a dispatcher, and then as a custodian with St. Clair County Community College, where he remained until his retirement. He was a Detroit Tigers fan, watching games alongside his wife. He also followed both University of Michigan and Michigan State football. Frank enjoyed walking the mall at Birchwood Mall, playing senior bingo at McDonalds and going to the senior center. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years and served as an usher there. Frank honorably served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughter, Cathy (David) Tovarez; son, Frank D. Nunez; grandchildren, Natalia and Arianna Tovarez, Frankie and Charlie Nunez; siblings Mary Nunez, Gloria (Martin) Rose, Jesse (Mary) Nunez and Becky (Robert) Hall; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six siblings, Jessie, Richard, Amelia, Edward, Anthony and Michael.

A memorial service in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home will be announced. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
