Mary K "Bubbles" Berra

Mary Kathryn “Bubbles” Berra, 90, of Port Huron, died Saturday, May 10, 2025 of natural causes.

She was born April 13, 1935 in Port Huron. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ryan. She married Raymond M. “Yogi” Berra in September of 1955 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2025 after nearly 70 years of marriage.

Mary was a 1952 graduate of St. Stephen High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball and tennis. After raising her family, she pursued her education and received her associate’s degree from St. Clair County Community College. She also supported her husband with his engineering degree at the University of Michigan. Mary was a woman of faith and a devout Catholic, serving as a eucharistic minister. She loved gardening, but her greatest joy was being a mother. Mary and her family lived in various locations, yet Port Huron always remained home.

She is survived by five children, Patrick (Lisa) Berra of Bay City, Gregory (Robin) Berra of Port Huron, David (Leslie Moore) Berra of Northport, Florida, Susan (James) Lamphere of Beverly Hills and Kathleen (Scott) Cannard of Tallahassee, Florida; nine grandchildren, Dr. Tiffani (Bryan) Asuncion, Lindsay Berra, Ryan Berra, Michael Berra, Elizabeth Berra, Hope Lamphere, Nolan Lamphere, William Cannard and Max Cannard; and two great grandchildren, Aubree and Ava.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
