Frances G "Pug" Bonkoske

Frances Genevieve “Pug” Bonkoske, 85, of Clyde Township, died Saturday, May 10, 2025.

She was born September 6, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Michael E. and Verna A. Malane.

Frances was a volunteer at McLaren Port Huron Hospital for many years. She loved shopping and decorating and enjoyed traveling with her family when she was younger. She is survived by her son, Joseph (Cori) Bonkoske; four siblings, Theresa Bonin, Judy (John) Anter, William Malane and Marcia Irland; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by nine siblings, Margaret Duczynski, Joann Campell, Betty Jane Modelweski, Donna Czarnecki, Geraldine Rutkowski, Patricia Balogh, Bernadine Noetzel, Mary Richert and Michael Malane.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.
