Denise M Letzgus

Denise Marie Letzgus, 73, of Port Huron, died Sunday, May 11, 2025.

She was born August 9, 1951 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Walter and Della Schultz. She married Albert M. “Mike” Letzgus on January 20, 1973 in Capac, Michigan.

Denise loved gardening, reading and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Denise was a longtime member of Sturges Memorial Congregational Church and dedicated her time volunteering with several organizations including the American Red Cross, Goodwill and the Arc of St. Clair County.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Albert; two sons, Eric (Carolyn) Letzgus and Jay (Brittany) Letzgus; three grandchildren, Blake (Nicole), Trenten and Jenna Letzgus; brother, Dale (Roxanne) Schultz; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Letzgus and Kathy Letzgus; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends at Port Haven Manor, including lifelong friend, Alice Brunelle. She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Charles and Margaret Letzgus; sisters-in-law, Peggy Letzgus and Barb Letzgus; and brothers-in-law, Pat and Ed Letzgus.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
