Carolyn E Krafft

October 6th, 1936 to June 14th, 2025

Carolyn Elizabeth Krafft, 88, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 in the hospital in Monroe, NC of acute respiratory failure from complications of dementia.

Carolyn was born on October 6, 1936 in Port Huron, Michigan to George and Mary Krafft and graduated in 1954 from St. Stephen High School, Port Huron. She joined the Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1955 and remained in the convent for nearly 20 years, teaching elementary and high school. Carolyn earned a Master’s degree in teaching in 1969 from Marygrove College in Detroit.

In 1971, Carolyn moved to Naples, Florida. She devoted most of her time to teaching Social Studies at Bishop Verot Catholic School in Ft. Myers and Immokalee High School in Immokalee. After her retirement from the classroom, Carolyn volunteered with the Naples Chamber of Commerce and Opera Naples. She was also an avid walker and a member of the Naples Walking Club, which took her on many hiking excursions throughout the Naples area and the entire United States. Carolyn adored traveling, with frequent trips to Europe and throughout the U.S.

Carolyn was the last of thirteen children, and in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her siblings, George James Krafft, William Theodore Krafft, Robert Francis Krafft, Joseph Paul Krafft, Mary Jane Phillips, Veronica Catherine Willing, Patricia Ann Johnston, Gerald Edward Krafft, Leo Emmanuel Krafft, Helen Agnes Krafft, Marjorie Joan Neumann and Chester John Krafft. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Although her physical presence may no longer grace our lives, Carolyn's spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
